"Consider it pure joy...because the testing of your faith produces perseverance."

JAMES 1:2-4

ABOUT ME

The most difficult season of my life was when my mother passed away — I remember it like it was yesterday. That moment changed everything.

I had graduated from high school just three weeks before her passing, and suddenly, I had to grow up fast. The people who should have been there to help me navigate that new chapter only made things harder. I found myself on my own, learning life’s lessons the hard way.

But through it all — the good and the bad — I’m still here.

I’ve learned that we have to be careful about what we call victories and what we call failures. The Bible reminds us in James 1:2–4, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Some may see failure when they look at my story because I didn’t always make the right choices. But I know the truth — God kept me through it all.

I may not be where I thought I’d be at this stage in life, but I’ve come to understand something: my story isn’t being written — it’s already finished in Him. I’m simply walking it out, step by step, trusting that every part of my journey has purpose.

My hope is that my life encourages you to do the same — to keep walking, keep believing, and keep becoming everything God already designed you to be.
